"How Did They Do It?" With Makeup Artist, Jamie Greenberg!

Nope, celebrities didn't just "wake up like that". They need talented makeup artists like my friend, Jamie Greenberg! I don't remember where I met Jamie but I think it was back in my fashion styling days. In addition to glamming celebs like Kaley Cuoco, Rashida Jones and Chelsea Handler, Jamie is also the Founder of clean makeup brand, Jamie Makeup! So happy to share a little bit of her story with you because her shiny and impressive career wasn't and easy feat....

 LA: What is one interesting thing that people may not know about your career?

J: That I really started from the bottom. My first makeup job was at ULTA. I moved on to Bloomingdales after that. I legit climbed a ladder.

LA: During your professional journey, what is one mistake you made that you learned the most from?

J: To be myself. I was trying to conform in the beginning. I realized soon into the journey how important it is to stay true to self. It attracted the best clients for me.

LA: What are you most proud of at this moment?

J: All the amazing people I’ve worked with. The places I’ve been with these people. The fact that I still have a career, my Blighlighter, and of course my connection to my audience :)

LA: One thing you wish people would stop doing in business? (can you explain?)

J: I think people say they really want to support each other but at the end of the day they feel threatened. I wish people would really support each other and embrace our differences. We all bring something unique that attracts our own clientele. Let’s celebrate that!

LA: Your go-to beverage after a long week (specifics please!)?

J: El Tesoro Anejo with ice and La Croix (any flavor)
