5 Questions With CEO and Founder of Create & Cultivate, Jaclyn Johnson!
Jaclyn is the Founder of Create and Cultivate, an online platform that gives women resources and insight on how they can make their career dreams a reality. It has been an honor to participate in her events as a mentor and I'm always in awe at the zillion other things her company is simultaneously doing- a product line, a collection at Target! It was a no brainer to tap into her wise words...
LA: What is one interesting thing that people may not know about building your brand?
JACLYN: That we are completely self funded! People think we are a large venture backed business but we are tiny!
LA: What is one mistake you made in your career that you learned the most from?
JACLYN: I think waiting to invest in senior employees, hiring senior people can be expensive and scary as a small business owner but it's so integral to your growth!
LA: As a Founder, what is one bit of advice you can share with our readers if they want to pursue this particular career?
JACLYN: You need to have an unnerving amount of drive toward whatever it is you want to pursue and be ready for the ups and downs!
LA: What are you most proud of at this moment?
JACLYN: That we are still standing! 2020 has been a beast for small businesses and I am just proud of the fact that we are still here and thriving
