"How Did They Do It?" With Co-Founder and CEO of BossBabe, Natalie Ellis
I "met" Natalie when we were both on a career panel with Create and Cultivate earlier this year. I've followed Bossbabe on Instagram for a minute now for their inspirational life and career advice (because that's what I'm screamin!) and I was intrigued to hear more about how she made it all happen!
LA: What is one interesting thing that people may not know about your career?
N: That I've only been doing BossBabe for 3 years! People often think I've been at it for a decade, but my business before BossBabe was a completely different CPG company.
LA: What is one mistake you made that you learned the most from?
N: Probably hiring A-players too late. When you're bootstrapping a company, it can be difficult to budget for an incredible team to support you, but at some point you need to hire people who are A* players in their field.
LA: What is one thing you did that put you on the right path to success in your career?
N: Consistency. I stayed consistent every day, even when I didn't feel like it.
LA: What are you most proud of at this moment?
N: The fact that we've put over 130K women through our training.
LA: Your go-to beverage after a long week (specifics please!)?
N: I always start my day with my morning coffee elixir. I blend freshly ground organic coffee with trace minerals, grass fed butter, vanilla collagen and adaptogenic herbs. It's the best tasting latte and makes you feel amazing.
